Every facial treatment at Golden Gate Skin Center will begin with a complete skin analysis by our licensed aesthetician.
We will review any skin concerns and your daily skin care routine. Together we will develop a customized treatment plan that may include in-office treatments and a homecare regimen.
During your facial treatment your skin is cleansed, exfoliated, prepared for extractions, and massaged with a nourishing serum to help correct deficiencies. Our facial treatments differ from those provided in other clinical settings. As your treatment mask sets, stress is reduced and your nerves soothed after a complete scalp, neck, shoulder, and arm massage – a truly unique experience.
Facials
Signature Clinical Facial – Featuring physician strength skincare from SkinMedica and PCA SKIN®, our Signature Clinical Facial delivers the active prescription grade ingredients you’ve been missing from your typical facial treatment. The goal of our signature treatment is to address your skin concerns, achieve your skin goals, and help set new ones as those concerns diminish. Appropriate for any skin type seeking results they can see and change from their normal routine.
Rebalancing Customized Facial – Appropriate for any skin type feeling the stress and free radical damage from environmental and hormonal changes. Botanical based products are used with active physician strength ingredients to help hydrate and restore the oil and water balance in the skin, nourish and replenish stressed skin while combating inflammation and the signs of aging. The perfect treatment for all skin types and conditions, including our mothers-to-be.
Microdermabrasion
Our DiamondTome Microdermabrasion device features diamond tip encrusted wands that create a smooth and controlled exfoliation to remove the stratum corneum of the skin, letting fresh and brighter skin shine with no down time. Series of microdermabrasions help to stimulate collagen production. They are a gentle and effective way to maintain results from more advanced skin treatments or simply to help refresh skin after each passing season.
Chemical Peels
The Illuminize Peel, Vitalize Peel, and Rejuvenize Peel from SkinMedica feature a unique blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids combined with cosmeceutical ingredients to help achieve a dramatic improvement in tone and texture of the skin. Superficial lines are diminished and a brighter more youthful glow is revealed with minimal downtime. These stand-alone exfoliating peels are safe to perform on all skin types and have been clinically proven to help pigmentation problems such as sun damage and acne scarring fade while stimulating collagen production in the cells beneath the skin’s surface. Peels can be performed every 2 to 4 weeks for maximum benefits, and when combined with SkinMedica’s physician strength product line, true results can be realized. Illuminize Peel – The Illuminize Peel is a very gentle superficial peel. It is ideal for patients who have never had a chemical peel or those desiring little visible peeling or down time. The Illuminize Peel has been shown to improve skin clarity, color and texture and it is appropriate for all skin types.
The Vitalize Peel – The Vitalize Peel is a medium strength chemical peel. It utilizes salicylic acid, lactic acid and Retinoic acid to address pigmentation issues such as melasma, sun damage, and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Visible improvement can be seen after one treatment with more significant results after a series of peels. The Vitalize peel has little or no downtime and can be used on all skin types.
The Rejuvenize Peel – The Rejuvenize Peel is the strongest chemical peel available from Skin Medica. It exfoliates the damaged layers to reveal fresher and healthier skin. The Rejuvenize Peel is an ideal treatment for sun damage, melasma, pigmentation changes and acne scarring. It is recommended after tolerability to the Vitalize Peel has been established. Peeling and flaking usually begin on day three and can continue for one week. It is very well tolerated with minimal down time.
The PCA Peel ® – The PCA Peel is a medium depth peel formulated to exfoliate with blends of lactic, citric and salicylic acids and resorcinol, while bleaching and inhibiting pigment production with kojic acid and hydroquinone. These peels help repair and reduce breakouts, control oil, soften lines and provide a more even, smoother skin texture.
The Ultra 1 Peel ® – The Ultra Peel 1 is a Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel. It is a blend formulated with many ingredients including lactic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), plumping phytohormones and kojic and azelaic acids to produce dramatic results without the discomfort and downtime associated with traditional TCA peels.
The Ultra Forte Peel ® – The Ultra Forte Peel is a deeper and more active Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel. Ultra Peel Forte will effectively treat aging skin, breakouts, pigment disorders, smoker’s skin and photodamaged skin. This treatment is ideal for dehydrated and aging skin in need of rejuvenation.
Glycolic and Salicylic Peels – Our physician strength chemical peels help to loosen the bonds between dead skin cells to rapidly exfoliate the skin’s surface. Appropriate for most any skin type or condition, this treatment can be performed on its own or as part of your routine facial treatment. Results are visible immediately with best results achieved with a series of treatments and the proper homecare regimen.
